Overview
Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC) is a purified, insoluble cellulose powder derived from wood pulp that compacts and bonds under compression, making it ideal for solid‐dosage formulations. It is inert, white and free-flowing. As a multifunctional excipient, MCC serves as a binder, filler, diluent, glidant or disintegrant — helping produce tablets or capsules with good hardness, uniformity, compressibility, flow and stability.
- Excellent binding & compressibility — yields tablets with good hardness and low friability
- Acts as filler/diluent — adds bulk for low-dose APIs
- Enhances powder flow & flowability (as glidant) — helps uniform die-filling
- Supports both wet-granulation & direct compression processes
- Can aid disintegration — facilitating drug release when needed
- Inert, pharmacopeia-grade excipient — safe, stable, compatible with many APIs and excipients
Features of Product
---
TABCELL® is absolutely free from black particle
It is white, free-flowing powder with excellent compressibility and is used in solid dose forms
TABCELL® is the same as cellulose, except that it meets USP standards.
TABCELL® is a good source of dietary fiber, yet contributes no or very little calories in food systems.
TABCELL® is virtually inert and will not interact with minerals & vitamins.
TABCELL® is an excellent suspending agent even for very heavy particulates like ferrous fumarate or other minerals
