Overview
NOVALUBE® – Sodium Stearyl Fumarate (SSF) is a hydrophilic, pharmaco-grade tablet lubricant designed for formulations where traditional metallic stearates may cause issues. It’s ideal for orally disintegrating tablets (ODTs), effervescent powders, or formulations with poorly water-soluble APIs. With minimal impact on dissolution and disintegration — even at low lubricant concentrations — Novalube ensures good tablet hardness, content uniformity, and reliable manufacturing performance.
- Hydrophilic lubricant & anti-adherent (less hydrophobic than metallic stearates)
- Suitable for ODTs, effervescent tablets, and moisture-sensitive drugs
- Works at low concentration (0.5–2%) — reduces additive load
- Provides good tablet hardness, low ejection force, and uniform compression
- Minimal negative impact on dissolution/disintegration — good for poorly soluble APIs
